Kylian Mbappe has decided to leave the France squad to seek more information about an ankle injury in Madrid. The Real Madrid forward recently scored twice in France's 4-0 win over Ukraine, securing their place at the 2026 World Cup. His second goal marked his 400th career goal for both club and country, and it was his 55th for the national team, putting him just two goals behind Olivier Giroud, France's all-time leading scorer.

In the World Cup qualifiers, Mbappe has been instrumental, scoring five goals and providing three assists. However, he will miss France's final qualifier against Azerbaijan on Sunday.
