Meet the 14-year-old Manchester boy dubbed the future Brit Bolt

By Super Admin

Manchester, Sep 25(ANI): A 14-year-old boy from Manchester is being dubbed as UK's version of Jamaican sprinter and three-time Olympic gold medallist, Usain Bolt, after shattering the British under-15 national record in only his second race.

The wonderkid, Clovis Asong, is being compared to Bolt, after he pruned the previous record by more than a second to run 400metres in an incredible 48.86 seconds.

Stunned coaches now believe that that Clovis, who is also talented at javelin, shot put, hurdles, long jump and high jump, is a future Olympic star.

"To watch him cross the finish line was like a dream come true. London 2012 is probably a little too soon for him, but Clovis has shocked us all before so who's to say?" The Sun quoted Danny Gray, his trainer, as saying.

"He knows he's good, but it's almost as if he doesn't understand what he's achieved. It's like it's just another day for him," he added.

Clovis was born in Cameroon, but has been living in England since 2001 and is also a British citizen.

"Clovis is a gentle giant. He's an absolutely unbelievable talent," said Mike Leader, his head at Our Lady's Sports College. (ANI)
