
Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina forward Lionel Messi added another milestone to his already prestigious résumé on Sunday. The 35-year-old scored his 700th career club goal in Paris St. Germain's 3-0 win over Marseille.
Just four minutes after he set up Kylian Mbappe for the opening goal of the game, the Argentina international doubled PSG's lead with a goal of his own, tapping home a low pass from the Frenchman at the back post.
With the goal, Messi became just the second player in history to score 700 career club goals. He has become only the second player to do so is Messi's longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo surpassed the 700-goal mark earlier this season during his second spell at Manchester United.
