Middlesbrough Football Club has confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the departure of their head coach, Rob Edwards. Edwards did not participate in training on Friday and also skipped the pre-match media conference. Middlesbrough, currently fourth in the Championship, will face Birmingham City on Saturday without Edwards in charge.

Edwards, who joined Middlesbrough in June, has been granted permission to discuss the head coach position at Wolves. A club statement revealed that although they initially declined Wolves' approach due to Edwards' recent three-year contract with them, they have now agreed to let him speak with Wolves.
