Mikel Arteta Signs New Arsenal Contract Until 2030
Arsenal have officially secured manager Mikel Arteta's long-term future, with the Spaniard signing a new contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until June 2030.
The new agreement extends Arteta's reign beyond a decade and further underlines Arsenal's faith in the manager who guided the club back to the top of English football.

Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December 2019, replacing Unai Emery, and has overseen a remarkable transformation. After several seasons of finishing among the Premier League's top sides, the 44-year-old finally delivered Arsenal's first league title in 22 years during the 2025-26 season. He also guided the Gunners to the Champions League final last season, where they lost to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.
How much will Mikel Arteta earn?
Arsenal have not officially released the financial details of Arteta's new contract. However, reports indicate that the new agreement comes with a substantial pay rise.
According to The Times, Arteta's new deal is worth up to £25 million per year, consisting of a reported £20 million basic salary plus performance-related bonuses. That would make him the highest-paid manager in the Premier League.
Other reports have put the package slightly differently, with The Guardian reporting that Arteta's new deal is worth more than £20 million per season. His previous contract was reportedly worth around £10 million annually, with bonuses potentially taking the total to approximately £15 million.
Therefore, while the precise structure has not been officially confirmed by Arsenal, there is broad agreement that Arteta has received a significant increase in his remuneration.
