AC Milan's coach, Sergio Conceicao, is focused on his team's preparation as they gear up to face Como in Serie A. Despite rumours linking Cesc Fabregas to his job, Conceicao remains unfazed. Milan currently sits ninth in the league with 44 points from 28 matches and was recently knocked out of the Champions League by Feyenoord. The Italian media has speculated about Conceicao's future at the club.
Conceicao emphasised that his main concern is training and performance, not external opinions. "I cannot control what others say and think," he stated before the San Siro match. His focus is on ensuring Milan performs well against Como, rather than personal rivalries with opposing coaches like Fabregas. "It is Milan against Como, not Conceicao against the opposing coach," he added.

Milan's recent defensive struggles have been notable, conceding two goals in each of their last four league games. This marks only the fourth time in their history they've allowed more than one goal in five consecutive Serie A matches, with previous occurrences in the 1940s and 1974. Conceicao has had limited time between matches since taking over in December but values this week's full training sessions.
The Portuguese coach expressed satisfaction with the team's spirit during training sessions. "The boys' response was fantastic in spirit," he noted, appreciating their enthusiasm and dedication. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been sidelined due to muscle injuries since December, is now available for selection. Although not ready for a full match, Conceicao praised him as a strong midfielder with great physical presence.
Como currently holds 13th place in Serie A after drawing 1-1 with Venezia last Saturday. They have secured 17 of their 29 points this season against top-half teams. Only Napoli, Atalanta, Inter, and Juventus have earned more points against higher-ranked opponents this season.
Conceicao appreciates having a full week to train with his squad, which he finds crucial for working on game situations and physical conditioning. He remarked on the importance of these sessions: "It's important for us to work on game situations and also on the physical level." The team aims to improve continuously by focusing on their strengths while preparing for challenging opponents like Como.
