Mitrovic's Late Double Propels Al-Hilal To Top Of Saudi Pro League
Aleksandar Mitrovic's late double ensured Al-Hilal triumphed 3-0 over Al-Riyadh, propelling them to the top of the Saudi Pro League on Saturday. Salem Al-Dawsari was instrumental in the victory, scoring once and assisting both of Mitrovic's goals. Marcos Leonardo, however, had a goal disallowed.
Al-Hilal dominated the first half with 10 shots but couldn't break through, testing Milan Borjan only twice. The second half saw Ibrahim Bayesh hit the woodwork for Al-Riyadh shortly after the break. Al-Dawsari then made a brilliant run down the left, cutting inside and chipping a shot over Borjan that went in off the far post.

Leonardo thought he had scored after running behind Al-Riyadh's defence and chipping the ball into the net. However, his goal was ruled out for starting his run too early. Mitrovic secured the win by scoring from a tight angle in the 80th minute and adding another in stoppage time.
In the first half, Al-Hilal struggled to find their shooting boots but were grateful for their left-winger. Al-Dawsari caused numerous problems for Al-Riyadh, having seven touches in the opposition box and creating four chances. Only Ruben Neves surpassed him in final third passes with 27 compared to Al-Dawsari's 22.
Mitrovic's late goals sealed a good day for Al-Hilal. His first came from a tight angle at 80 minutes, and he added another in stoppage time to round off their victory. This win sends them to the top of the league standings.
