After Hyderabad FC's financial trouble, now the employees of ISL 2024-25 debutants Mohammedan SC have alleged non-payment of dues for several months against one of its major investors, Shrachi Group.
"We have not been paid for over four months now," one high-ranking employee of Mohammedan SC told mykhel on condition of anonymity. "Shrachi has not yet cleared the payments of the employees, who were previously contracted under Mohammedan SC before the takeover."

The official further alleged that Mohammedan's investors would be reviewing the contracts before clearing any outstanding dues, a process that many in the club's employment find unfair to the point of considering resignation. The club official of Mohammedan SC refused to comment on the issue when contacted by the website.
A high-ranking employee of Shrachi Group, who spoke on condition of anonymity, echoed the allegations raised by the Mohammedan SC staff. The Shrachi employee said that the group has failed to pay the Mohammedan staff for four months due to an ongoing transition in the company. MyKhel also reached out to another representative of Shrachi Group for comment on the matter but the person declined to comment on the issue.
The news would be a worrying development for Mohammedan SC, who have another key investor in Bunkerhil. And as per myKhel's understanding, the new investors have no obligation to pay the salaries of the employees. The iconic club, despite a passionate fan base in Kolkata, have lost one and drew one of their two matches in the ISL so far.
This is not the first time that Mohammedan SC and Shrachi Group's deal has come under scrutiny for the wrong reasons. At the end of August, Deepak Singh, who is the founder of Bunkerhill, revealed that the deal between his company, the club, and Shrachi Group almost fell through after failure to reach an amicable agreement.
