In a Group B match of the 133rd IndianOil Durand Cup 2024 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, former champions Mohammedan SC and newcomers Inter Kashi FC played to an exciting 1-1 draw. Serbian midfielder Nikola Stojanovic put Inter Kashi ahead in the first half.
However, Mohammedan SC's Ashley Alban Koli equalized with a remarkable free-kick. All 43 matches of the tournament are being broadcast live on the Sony Sports Network (Sony Ten2 HD) and streamed on the SonyLiv OTT platform.

Mohammedan SC, managed by Hakim Ssengendo, fielded a young team in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Tanmoy Ghosh as the captain. Inter Kashi FC, led by coach Arata Izumi, started strong with Spaniards Mario Barco Villar and Julen Perez Del Pino up front and Nikola Stojanovic and Indian international Edmund Lalrindika in midfield.
The game began cautiously as rain fell throughout the first half, with Inter Kashi holding more possession but struggling to create clear chances. Stojanovic broke the deadlock with a long-range shot. Mohammedan SC showed moments of intricate play but couldn't convert them into goals.
In the second half, Inter Kashi pushed for a second goal, but Mohammedan's goalkeeper Shubajit Bhattacharjee made a crucial save. Mohammedan then gained momentum, with Ghosh and Koli combining well. Koli eventually scored the equalizer with a stunning free-kick. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, they settled for a draw.
