Mohun Bagan Coach Antonio Habas Running Tight Ship, No Break For Players

Mohun Bagan lost their chance to climb to the top of the Indian Super League table as they drew against Odisha FC. However, they will still be looking to win the shield when the league stage of the competition ends.

It seems coach Antonio Habas is very serious about the job at hand and is not taking any break in the meantime. As per Kolkata24x7 the Mariners flew back to Kolkata quickly and started training after only a little rest.

It seems that coach Habas is determined to win the shield and he is running a tight ship with that target in mind. Mohun Bagan fell down to 3rd place in the league table after the goalless draw against Odisha FC.

They have 30 points from 15 matches so far. With seven matches still left to play, the Mariners will have to look to win every game at hand. Their next match is against Jamshedpur FC at home.

The Mariners are still unbeaten since coming back to the second half of the ISL 2023-24 season. They drew twice and won three games in the last five games, but coach Habas is not ready to loosen up.

Usually, the team gets a day of break after they have played a match. However, this time, Mohun Bagan flew back to Kolkata as soon as possible after their draw against Odisha FC. As per reports, they rested only for a while and attended the training session.

Their next opponent, Jamshedpur FC are holding onto life dearly in the last spot of the top six. Hence, they will give a tough fight and the coach knows it. Hence, he is sparing no time to get ready for the match.

This win will especially be important as the all-important Kolkata derby will then follow. They will face Kerala Blasters after that and both matches will be two of their toughest ones. Hence, coach Habas certainly seems right to start preparations.
