Mohun Bagan Super Giant youngster Kiyan Nassiri says he has had thoughts of leaving Mohun Bagan due to lack of opportunities, but has decided against it out of respect for his contract.
Kiyan Nassiri emerged as one of the bright prospects of Mohun Bagan. The son of legendary Iranian footballer Jamshid Nassiri has come through the youth ranks of Mohun Bagan and started in sublime fashion for the club.

Nassiri announced himself with a derby hattrick over East Bengal in the 2021-22 season. But despite a meteoric rise, the youngster has found things difficult for him last season. Chances were few and far between as the player only managed 10 league appearances in the last term, without a single goal.
Amid this, the 22-year-old says he has had the thoughts of leaving Mohun Bagan, but has decided against it. The player spoke in the ISL media meet on Wednesday (September 13) and gave his thoughts on his situation.
"Yes, I have (thought of leaving Mohun Bagan for other opportunities). But I have a contract here and I respect it that way. Till when my contract expires, I will figure it out then," Nassiri said to the media when asked about if he ever pondered leaving the Kolkata club.

The attacking midfielder will be hoping for a better outing in the upcoming season as Mohun Bagan prepare to defend their ISL title.
