Mohun Bagan vs Bangladesh Army Live stream, Durand Cup 2023: The oldest football tournament in Asia, Durand Cup will host 24 teams in its 132nd edition across three venues with the opening encounter taking place between Mohun Bagan and Bangladesh Army at the iconic Yuba Bharati Krirangan or Salt Lake Stadium on Wednesday.

The reigning ISL champions, who were rechristened Mohun Bagan Super Giants earlier this year, are clubbed in the group of death with arch-rivals East Bengal in Group A with recently-ISL-promoted Punjab FC being the fourth side.

Losing any of the matches could prove to be suicidal as only the top team from each of the six groups will directly qualify for the quarterfinals while two group runners out of six will take the remaining spots in the knockouts with the number of points followed by a goal difference as the tie-breaker.

Mohun Bagan, who have kicked-off the season at home in the Calcutta Football League with their youth development squad, have named a squad mixture of experience and youth with coach Juan Ferrando taking a backseat as youth head coach Bastab Roy will be in charge of the team for Durand Cup 2023.

Mohun Bagan club management took the call after Bastab managed the youth side to six-match unbeaten run, including five wins and 18 goals at the CFL 2023 as they sit second in the table. Some of the players, who did well in the CFL, are likely to see chances to play as well with Lalrinliana Hnamte, Suhail Bhatt, Engson among others hopeful.
