Mohun Bagan are taking on FC Goa on the road with the determination to win at any cost. However, they already have a few hiccups in the form of key players who are injured. As of now, they have four players that are in doubt.

Kauko took to the field for the first time after his recovery against Hyderabad FC for 30 minutes. Coach Antonio Habas talked about his recovery and chances of playing against FC Goa in the pre-match press conference.

Talking about whether Kauko is fit to play, the coach said, “Yes, we want to continue seeing him progress with more playing minutes… Joni Kauko can play more minutes every day to complete 90 minutes. We need him for his quality, personality, and everything.”

Anwar played his first game in the Kolkata derby after a month-long recovery. However, he sustained an injury on the first day he came back. Talking about his recovery and playing chances against Goa coach said, “Yes, he’s recovering every day.”

He added, “He’s improved a lot, maybe 80-85 percent. We’ll evaluate tomorrow and there’s a possibility of his participation against Goa.” Coach Habas also provided more updates on Hamill’s injury saying he's not fit and Asish’s injury saying he's fit.

Mohun Bagan are sitting in 4th position in the Indian Super League table. They got to this position from being at the top after losing three consecutive home matches in the first half of the ISL 2023-24 season.

They need to win this match and the availability of these players would have helped them. The coach didn't say which players he's going to play, but he will definitely try to line up his strongest XI.
