Mohun Bagan Super Giants will take on Mumbai City FC in the ISL 2023-24 Final on Saturday (May 4) at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
Mohun Bagan recently won the ISL Shield after beating Mumbai City in the final group-stage game of the season. The two teams won their respective semifinals against Odisha FC and FC Goa.

The Mariners saw out Odisha with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline as Sahal Abdul Samad scored a late goal to seal their berth in the final. It was a magnificent comeback victory for the Islanders in the 1st leg which gave them the momentum in their semifinal against FC Goa. Afte a 3-2 win in Goa, Mumbai City secured another 2-0 victory to qualify for the Final.
These two teams have been at the pinnacle of Indian football in the last two seasons. Mumbai City won the ISL shield last season while Mohun Bagan clinched the ISL title. This year, the Kolkata club won the Shield and will be aiming to repeat last year's feat while Mumbai will be aiming to get their hands on the ISL Cup title.
Antonio Lopez Habas and Petr Kratky, two tacticians will be going against each other. The Mariners would be taking confidence from their victory in the last match while avenging the group stage defeat is certainly going to galvanize the West Coast club.
These two teams have a 1-1 record this season and the winner of the season decider will add another silverware to their trophy cabinet.
Dimitri Petratos and Jason Cummings will be the main man forward for Mohun Bagan while the defense will be shielded by captain Subhasish Bose. MBSG will miss Albanian Armando Sadiku, who was handed a ban after offensive gestures to a match official.
For Mumbai City, Jorge Pereyra Diaz is likely to lead the line with Vikram Partap Singh and Lallianzuala Chhangte along the wings. Krouma and Tiri will be the central defenders while it is likely to be Alberto Noguera in the midfield.
