Morgan Rogers Extends Contract With Aston Villa Until 2031 After Stellar Performances

Morgan Rogers has signed a six-year contract extension with Aston Villa, keeping him at the club until 2031. The England international has made significant contributions since joining, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists in his time at Villa Park.

Morgan Rogers has committed to Aston Villa until 2031 by signing a six-year contract. Since joining from Middlesbrough for £15 million in February last year, Rogers has become vital to the team. He has netted 18 goals and assisted 17 times in 86 matches. His standout season was 2024-25, where he contributed to 27 goals, second only to Ollie Watkins' 31.

Despite a challenging start this season, Rogers ended a 20-game goal drought with a crucial goal in Villa's 2-1 victory over Tottenham last month. At 23 years and 85 days old, he became the sixth-youngest player to achieve 25 Premier League goal involvements for Villa, following Christian Benteke's record set at age 22 years and 257 days in August 2013.

Rogers Extends Aston Villa Contract to 2031

The England international was recognised as the PFA Young Player of the Season for his outstanding performances. "I'm so happy," Rogers expressed about his decision to stay at Villa. "The faith from the people at the club is a really nice feeling, and I couldn't wait to sign."

Rogers is not alone in committing his future to Aston Villa; Matty Cash and captain John McGinn have also signed new contracts recently. This trend highlights the club's focus on retaining key players who contribute significantly to their success.

Rogers feels a deep connection with the club, stating that being from the area makes it even more special. He appreciates the warm environment created by the manager, players, and staff. "I'm excited to come in and train, work hard and give my all every day," he said. For him, enjoying football and expressing himself are paramount reasons for staying.

This commitment signifies Rogers' belief in Aston Villa's vision and his desire to continue contributing positively to their future successes.
