
Manchester City star forward Erling Haaland has been on a record-breaking spree ever since he made his since club debut and the Norwegian has carried his goal-rush to the Premier League as well.
Haaland, who moved to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund last summer, has scored 27 goals in 24 appearances for the current champions. Among his 27 goals, four were converted from the spot, while four were hattricks.
At this rate and with the number of game left in the season, the 22-year-old striker is well on course to break the record for most goals scored by a player in a single Premier League season.
Before he gets to the magic number, Haaland needs to get past a few players. So, let's take a look at the players that have scored 30 goals or more in a season so far.

Most seasons 30 goals ensures, one wins the golden boot, but 1994-94 and 2017-18 seasons saw one player finish second in most goals for the season despite scoring 30 or more goals.
Currently, the record for most goals in a single Premier League season is held by great Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, who scored 34 goals in the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons respectively.
Shearer, who also holds the record for most goals in the Premier League overall, achieved the record when representing Blackburn Rovers, while Cole reached the record number playing for Newcastle United.

Haaland will need to get past many greats of the Premier League, including Cole, Shearer, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Philipps and Robin van Persie. He also needs to get past active stars Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane.
Tottenham star Kane also reached the 200 goals milestone recently and is now only behind Shearer and Rooney for most goals scored in Premier League.
