Thiago Motta expressed his satisfaction with Juventus' performance following their 3-0 victory over Como in his first Serie A match as head coach. The team showcased confidence at the Allianz Stadium, with goals from Samuel Mbangula, Timothy Weah, and Andrea Cambiaso.
Motta praised the team's overall performance and result during a press conference. "I was satisfied with the performance but above all with the result. We deserved to win," he stated. He highlighted the defensive efforts and the attackers' willingness to press, particularly mentioning Dusan Vlahovic's role.

Juventus aims for a fresh start under Motta, targeting their first Serie A title in four years. The club previously won nine consecutive titles between 2012 and 2020. Motta emphasised the importance of humility, noting Vlahovic's efforts in dropping back to support the team.
Motta continued to commend Vlahovic, who had several chances and saw a goal disallowed for offside. "Dusan had a great game with and without the ball. For us, he is an important player who definitely needs the team," Motta added.
Vlahovic nearly doubled Juventus' lead before halftime from a free kick, but Como's keeper Pepe Reina made a crucial save. Moments later, Vlahovic hit the post, showcasing his persistent threat.
Motta acknowledged the need for recovery and preparation for their next match against Hellas Verona. "We need to recover from this game, regain our energy and focus on Hellas Verona," he said. He recognised Verona as a challenging opponent based on their performance on the first day of the season.
"We played well against a very good team that was coming with great enthusiasm," Motta reflected on facing Como. He appreciated Juventus' respect towards their opponents and their cohesive defensive strategy.
The match ended with three goals and three points for Juventus, marking a positive start to their season.
