Jose Mourinho, the former Inter manager, expressed his desire for the Italian club to clinch the Champions League title. Inter is set to compete against PSG in the final on May 31 at Munich's Allianz Arena. This match marks their last opportunity for a trophy this season after narrowly losing the Serie A title to Napoli. It will also be the first competitive encounter between these two teams.
Mourinho was the last manager to guide Inter to European success, achieving victory in 2010 by defeating Bayern Munich. That year, he led Inter to a treble, winning Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League. Reflecting on this, Mourinho humorously remarked that he is relieved his treble achievement remains unmatched but still wishes for Inter's success in the upcoming final.

This final represents Inter's seventh appearance in a European Cup or Champions League final. They have previously secured the trophy three times: in 1964, 1965, and 2010. However, their most recent final ended in a narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester City in 2023. Despite past setbacks, Mourinho hopes they can triumph this time around.
Mourinho candidly shared with Sky Sports his mixed feelings about Inter potentially matching his treble feat: "I'm going to be very naughty, but very honest," he said. "I was worried they [Inter] could win the treble because I didn't want them to win the treble. The treble is mine!"
While Mourinho supports Inter's quest for glory, he also acknowledged Luis Enrique's impressive work with PSG this season. Enrique aims to become one of only six managers to win the Champions League with two different clubs. He previously achieved this feat with Barcelona in 2015.
Mourinho praised Enrique's efforts: "But of course, Luis Enrique is doing an amazing job in Paris," he stated. "He transformed the team. He lost, let's say their 'number one player', but they rebuilt [the team] in a fantastic way." If PSG wins under Enrique's guidance, Mourinho would be pleased for him as well.
With both teams having strong motivations and talented managers at their helm, this final promises an exciting clash for football fans worldwide.
