FC Goa will be up against Mumbai City FC in the 2nd leg of the ISL semifinal on Monday (April 29).
Mumbai City secured the dramatic victory in the first leg at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa. The Gaurs were leading by two goals till the 90th minute but three goals in stoppage time gave the Islanders a huge win. Boris Singh and Brandon Fernandes scored for Gaurs but Lallianzuala Chhangte scored a brace while Vikram Partap Singh also netted a goal for Mumbai in the first leg.

FC Goa has had a commendable journey in the 2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL) season, securing 14 victories, drawing six, and facing defeat in just four out of their 24 matches.
Despite their stellar performance, the challenge ahead is daunting as they prepare for the second leg of the ISL Cup semi-finals against Mumbai City FC. The previous encounter saw Mumbai City FC overturning a 2-0 deficit in the dying minutes of the game.
The Gaurs will have to get a massive result in Mumbai to qualify for the Final. They won five matches in a row before the Mumbai match and Manolo Marquez will need his team to shine in Mumbai.
"We need to improve ourselves in those aspects. Character and mentality are very important, I know several cases of very good players who are at this level but with a good mentality here. It was very painful (to see what happened) the other day but we still need to be positive and we think that we can turn the situation (around)," Manolo Marquez said in the pre-match press conference.
