Napoli Prioritises Champions League Qualification Over Scudetto Pursuit, Says Antonio Conte

Conte emphasised the importance of consistency both at home and away. "We have many points, and we are second, the result of consistency at home and away," he stated. He believes that maintaining regularity is crucial for achieving their objectives.

Monza have lost 21 out of 32 league games this season, including 10 out of 16 at home. This presents an opportunity for Napoli to break their away game drought. Historically, only six teams have avoided relegation after losing more than 21 matches in a season.

Conte urged caution despite recent successes. "First of all, we have to earn a place in the Champions League," he said before their match against Monza on Saturday. He acknowledged that while they aim to challenge until the end, there will be obstacles ahead.

Conte also noted that although they haven't won recently, they haven't lost much either. "Even if we haven't won for a while, we haven't lost for a long time, only in Como," he remarked. This reflects Napoli's resilience and determination to improve their away form.

The team is determined to continue pushing towards unexpected goals this season. "We are doing something that goes beyond expectations given what happened last year," Conte added. He stressed the need to keep striving without making excuses.

With six games remaining, Napoli are keen to maintain their momentum and secure a top-four finish. Conte's leadership has been pivotal in revitalising the team's performance after last year's disappointing finish.
