Napoli's Frank Anguissa Faces Uncertainty For AFCON After High-Grade Thigh Injury

Frank Anguissa, a Napoli midfielder, has been diagnosed with a significant injury to his left thigh. This setback could jeopardise his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations for Cameroon. The injury occurred during training with his national team, prompting his return to Italy for further evaluation. Initial assessments were optimistic, but Napoli later confirmed the severity of the injury.

The injury is a high-grade lesion to the biceps femoris in Anguissa's left thigh. Although he has started rehabilitation, Italian media reports suggest he might be sidelined for eight to 12 weeks. This timeline casts doubt on his availability for Cameroon's opening match against Gabon on December 24.
