Iliman Ndiaye Sets High Goals For Himself As He Prepares For Everton's Upcoming Season

Iliman Ndiaye is determined to meet high expectations for the upcoming season with Everton, aiming to improve his goal and assist tally after a solid previous performance.

Iliman Ndiaye is setting high goals for himself this season at Everton, aiming to increase his tally of goals and assists. Last season, Everton secured the 13th spot in the Premier League, concluding with three consecutive wins, including a final-day victory against Newcastle United at St. James Park. Ndiaye emerged as Everton's top scorer with nine goals but didn't manage any assists despite creating 18 chances.

Everton's journey in the Premier League Summer Series began on a challenging note with a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth. However, they showed improvement with a narrow 2-1 defeat to West Ham followed by a 2-2 draw against Manchester United. Ndiaye found the net in the draw against United and is keen to maintain his scoring form throughout the season.

Ndiaye Aims High for Everton This Season

Ndiaye expressed his confidence after scoring against Manchester United, stating, "The goal I scored gives me good confidence," as reported by EvertonTV. He emphasised that while pre-season goals aren't his main focus, contributing to the team's success feels rewarding. He added that he expects a lot from himself and aims to score many goals and assists.

Despite not usually prioritising pre-season goals, Ndiaye finds satisfaction in helping the team achieve positive results. He believes that an attacking player should focus on scoring and assisting to aid the team's victories. This expectation aligns with what both he and others anticipate from his performance.

Everton has one more friendly match scheduled against Roma at Hill Dickinson Stadium before their Premier League opener on August 18 against Leeds United. During their US tour, Ndiaye was pleasantly surprised by the level of support from fans abroad. He shared his pride in discovering how widespread and passionate Everton's fan base is globally.

Ndiaye remarked on how loud and supportive the fans have been during matches in the US, which has been an eye-opening experience for him. The enthusiastic backing from supporters worldwide has been a source of pride for him since joining Everton.

The upcoming friendly against Roma will be crucial for Ndiaye as he prepares for the new Premier League season. His determination to enhance his contributions through goals and assists remains strong as he looks forward to helping Everton achieve success this year.
