Defending Champs disappoint India, lose opener

New Delhi, Aug 20: India got off on a disappointing start as the defending champs fell to Lebanon 0-1 in the opener of the Nehru Cup on Wednesday, Aug 19.

Lebanon that managed to score a goal early in the game defeated India which failed to convert any shots. The goal for Lebanon was scored by defender Ali Al Saad who converted a free kick into Indian goal.

In their second round-robin match, India will face Kyrgyzstan on Aug 22.
