The Netherlands has announced a provisional squad of thirty players for the upcoming 2024 Summer European Championship. After getting eliminated from the last Euro in the Round of 16, this year they will try to bring the trophy back home after 1988.
Ronald Koeman has announced a mixed squad of both seasoned veterans and talented youngsters. Though the Dutch are not among the favourites to lift the trophy, they are certainly the dark horse of the tournament.

His former colleague in Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk will be the cornerstone of the Dutch defence along with Man City star Nathan Ake. The 32-year-old centre-back will be accompanied by two other youngsters from the English club, Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo.
Memphis Depay, the 30-year-old Atletico Madrid forward has also been included in the squad. Depay has 44 goals for the Oranje, which is second highest for the Netherlands, only behind Robin van Persie (50 Goals).
Despite not playing since April for the La Liga side due to an ankle injury, the Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong will be featured in Euro 2024 in the orange jersey. Though Jurrien Timber, the Arsenal defender is not so lucky. He has been left out of the squad due to an ACL injury.
This provisional squad has to be trimmed to a 26-man-side, which will be announced by Koeman on May 29.
The Oranje will start their campaign on the 16th of June against Poland. But before that, they will play two friendlies against Canada (June 7) and Iceland (June 11). The Netherlands have been slotted in Group D, along with France, Poland and Austria.
