Newcastle United secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Arsenal, marking their first Premier League win in five matches. Alexander Isak's header in the 12th minute, assisted by Anthony Gordon, was the decisive moment at St. James Park. Arsenal struggled to create chances, managing only one shot on target when Mikel Merino's attempt was blocked by Lewis Hall.

Alexander Isak has been instrumental for Newcastle since returning from a toe injury. He has scored in three consecutive appearances across all competitions for the first time since January last season. In his last 17 Premier League starts at St. James Park, Isak has been involved in 18 goals, with 16 goals and two assists.

The match saw Isak nearly double Newcastle's lead on the hour mark, but his shot was saved by David Raya. Shortly after, Declan Rice's deflected strike narrowly missed the far post. Despite these efforts, the score remained unchanged.

Arsenal's recent form has been concerning.
