Eddie Howe is confident that Newcastle United does not rely solely on one player, even as Alexander Isak faces a potential short-term absence due to injury. Isak missed the recent 2-0 defeat against Liverpool after injuring his groin. Despite this setback, Howe believes the team can adapt and perform well without him.
Isak has been a key player for Newcastle this season, scoring 21 goals across all competitions. His 19 goals in the Premier League place him third in the race for the Golden Boot. Howe acknowledged Isak's unique contributions but emphasized that Newcastle is not dependent on any single player.

Newcastle has a busy schedule ahead, with an FA Cup fifth-round match against Brighton and an EFL Cup clash with Liverpool on March 16. They currently hold sixth place in the Premier League, trailing Manchester City by three points for fourth position.
Isak's recent performances have been impressive, including scoring twice against Nottingham Forest before the Liverpool match. He also netted two goals in each of Newcastle's last three league victories. However, his availability for the upcoming Brighton match remains uncertain.
Howe expressed caution regarding Isak's fitness, stating he hasn't seen him since the Liverpool game. "We will see how he is [on Friday]. We don’t think it’s a long-term problem," Howe said. He stressed that no risks would be taken with Isak's health at this stage of the season.
Howe believes playing regularly helps players maintain form and fitness. "The best thing for a player to stay in good form and to stay fit is to play them," he stated. This approach applies to all players as they prepare for crucial matches leading up to the EFL Cup final.
If Isak is fit before any game leading up to the EFL Cup final, Howe intends to play him. "You can't save players as they will lose rhythm," he explained, highlighting the importance of maintaining momentum through regular play.
As Newcastle navigates this challenging period, Howe remains optimistic about their ability to succeed without over-relying on any individual player. The focus will be on utilizing various skill sets within the squad to achieve positive results in upcoming fixtures.
