Al Hilal destroyed Al Riyadh to win 6-1 in the Saudi Pro League on Friday (September 15). The Saudi giants steamrolled their city opponents and came away as dominant winners.
Amid all the frenzy, the match was solely hyped for the potential debut of Brazilian star Neymar. The former Barcelona star was signed by Al Hilal in the summer from PSG, and there was massive anticipation of him making his debut in the match.

Neymar started from the bench, but was called up by the Hilal boss Jorge Jesus at the 64th minute, when the home side was already winning 2-0.
Neymar had an excellent debut for Al Hilal. The Brazilian played only the last 25 minutes plus added time, but looked a class apart. He was also involved in three goals and managed to claim an assist as well.
Neymar's pass to Malcom was key for the third goal of Al Hilal, while the Brazilian assisted Malcom to make it 4-0. He was again in action as Al Hilal won a penalty, but it was converted by Salem Al-Dawsari for the fifth goal.
Neymar's final involvement came in the sixth goal as the 31-year-old took a shot which was saved by the Al Riyadh keeper, only to be thumped home by Al-Dawsari again.
Neymar's performance in the first match was quite decent. The Brazilian didn't score a goal but looked pretty sublime with some of his touches and passes. It will take a bit longer for him to get going, but we can expect the record goal-scorer for Brazil to play a huge part in the Saudi league title race this season.
