Neymar cleared to make PSG debut on Sunday

Paris, Aug 12: Newly signed Paris Saint German attacker Neymar is poised to make his highly anticipated debut in the Paris shirt on Sunday (August 13) against Guingamp after French football authorities cleared the player after receiving his transfer certificate.

The Brazilian, who completed a 222 million euros ($262 million) signing from Barcelona last week for a world-record transfer fee, was kept from playing in PSG's first Ligue 1 match of the season against Amiens a week ago after his registration of the match gone too late.

Neymar was unveiled to the PSG fans at the Parc des Princes a weekend ago, however, he was compelled to watch from the stands.

However, on Friday, the French Football Federation said it has accepted Neymar's transfer testament, which means he could be in line to make the eagerly expected debut this Sunday.

"The FFF confirms it has received the transfer certificate of Neymar Jr, sent by the RFEF (Spanish football federation)," the FFF said on its Twitter feed on Friday.

His boss Emery also claimed that he is ready to start him on this Sunday. Emery said the Brazilian has incorporated well with the current squad and would like to see him in real life at the Stade de Roudourou.

"He has done well in training, where we have worked tactically and technically," he said. "He is ready. He can be a part of the squad and he can play.

"We want him on the pitch because he is somebody we need. We are going to train on Saturday and then the staff will discuss the possibility [of him starting in Guingamp]. He is ready to start and in good physical condition to complete a full 90 minutes."

PSG finished last season as the runners up after they finished second to Monaco in the Ligue 1 for the first time four years.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has scored 105 goals in his four seasons at Barcelona and established himself as one of the best players in the world, and now his new team will surely be anticipating the same to see him score much more to claim the all possible titles again.
