Neymar has hinted at a potential move to Inter Miami, expressing interest in reuniting with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. His contract with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia ends in June, and injuries have limited his appearances to just seven since joining in 2023. As he approaches 33, the MLS is seen as a possible next destination, with Miami eager to recreate the famed attacking trio.
During their time at Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, Neymar, Messi, and Suarez formed a formidable partnership. They scored a combined total of 364 goals across all competitions. Messi contributed 219 goal involvements, Suarez added 180, and Neymar had 138. This resulted in an impressive total of 537 direct goal involvements. Together, they helped Barcelona secure two LaLiga titles, three Copa del Rey trophies, and one each of the Champions League, Club World Cup, and Supercopa de Espana.

The possibility of rekindling this partnership remains open as Neymar considers a move to Miami. Both Messi and Suarez are contracted there until at least the end of the 2025 season. "Obviously, playing again with Messi and Suarez would be incredible," Neymar told CNN Sport. "They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio."
Neymar expressed contentment with his current situation at Al-Hilal but acknowledged the unpredictable nature of football. He explained that when he left Paris Saint-Germain, the U.S. transfer window was closed, making a move there impossible at that time. The offer from Saudi Arabia was appealing for both him and his family.
Looking ahead to the World Cup next year in the United States, Neymar is determined to help Brazil end their long wait for a sixth title. Despite Brazil's current struggles in fifth place within the CONMEBOL qualification group, Neymar remains optimistic about their prospects.
"I will try," he said regarding his participation in the 2026 World Cup. "I want to be there. I will do everything I can to be part of the national team." With eight goals in 13 World Cup appearances so far, Neymar is hopeful about Brazil's new-look team.
He emphasised his belief in the emerging young players within the squad: "I have a lot of faith in the team, in the players who are emerging." Although Brazil isn't currently where they want to be, Neymar believes that with time and effort over the next year-and-a-half, they can achieve significant success on the world stage.
