Neymar has ended his underwhelming stint with Al Hilal as the Brazil star has left the Saudi club on mutual consent.
Neymar had roughly seven months left on his contract with Al-Hilal, having joined the Saudi club on a lucrative two-year deal reportedly worth $157 million (£129.2 million) annually in 2023.

On Monday, the Saudi club announced that they have terminated Neymar's contract, thus ending his struggle at the club.
Neymar's tenure was marred by injuries, including a ruptured ACL during Brazil's World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in October 2023. Although he returned briefly in October last year, recurring issues sidelined him once again.
As per reports, Neymar will also give up on a significant amount of his contract. The Brazilian is said to forego around $25 to $30 million of his salary as he leaves the Saudi club prematurely.
Neymar, who is now out of contract, is likely to find a new club before the end of the January Transfer window. Strong reports from South America suggests he will be joining Brazilian giant Santos, who are likely to announce his arrival this werk.
At Al Hilal, Neymar made 7 appearances across all competitions. The Brazil international scored a solitary goal which came in the AFC Champions League against Nassaji Mazandaran.
Neymar's journey began at Santos, where he netted 136 goals in 225 matches before a high-profile move to Barcelona in 2013. At Barça, he made 186 appearances over four seasons, securing two La Liga titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup. In 2017, he made a record-breaking move to PSG at 25, where he won five league titles.
Shortly after joining Al-Hilal, Neymar surpassed Pelé to become Brazil's all-time leading male goalscorer with 78 goals, though he hasn't played for the national team since his knee injury in 2023.
