Kolkata, March 12: Paris Saint-Germain world record signing Neymar might already have played his last game for the Ligue 1 giants.

Neymar opted to undergo a surgery for an injury sustained during a league game for PSG that would allow him to play the World Cup in Russia without any difficulty.

But this meant that the Brazilian would stay on sidelines for almost three months, directly playing his first match for Brazil on his return from injury. And with PSG being dumped out of Champions League now, their season could end as early as April. This implies that Neymar might have already played his last game in a PSG jersey.

While the club’s top officials have been adamant that Neymar won’t go anywhere, PSG sporting director Artero Henrique raised some eye-brows with his recent statement.

“[Neymar’s future?] I can't guarantee it,” he claimed.

The statement comes as a surprise, especially after club president Nasser Al Khelafi, going to claim that Neymar is not for sale. But PSG seems very confused as recently they set a €400mn buyout clause for Neymar, striking more speculation on his transfer to Real Madrid.
