Bengaluru, December 18: World's most expensive footballer Neymar could be edging closer to a £220million move to Real Madrid after claims that his dad had dinner with president Florentino Perez.

Just four months after swapping Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain, the Brazilian is being linked with an incredible switch to the biggest rivals of his former club.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol are reporting that Neymar Sr promised Bernabeu bigwig Perez that his son would force through another world record move this summer.

Brazil ace Neymar is believed to be upset in the French capital despite PSG topping the table and progressing in the Champions League.

And Los Blancos would love to land a double blow by signing the Barcelona fan favourite.

Meanwhile, Neymar's former Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez has claimed his pal would never join Real because of his loyalty to the Nou Camp club.

Asked if Neymar would make the controversial switch, the Uruguay ace told Marca: "Not at all. Honestly, I don't see it.

"I know what Neymar is like and the admiration he had for Barcelona and his team-mates.

"I don't see him now going to play for Real Madrid."

Neymar will take on his potential new employers in the Champions League knock-out stages in the Round of 16.

PSG vs Real Madrid will be the headliner game in the round of 16 and Neymar's recent links with Real Madrid will give the game a whole new dimension.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath the heavyweights were drawn against each other.

Neymar joining Real Madrid could mean that he will be the replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo in the long run but it might upset the Portuguese superstar who is still at the top of his game and won the Ballon d'Or last season as well.
