Brazilian forward Neymar is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus in his left knee sustained during international duty.
The 31-year-old had the surgery earlier this month in a Belo Horizonte hospital. National team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar provided an update, stating that Neymar is responding well to the treatment, but the timeline for his return to action remains uncertain.

Lasmar emphasized that Neymar's recovery is progressing positively, and the player is actively participating in the prescribed rehabilitation process.
However, the doctor highlighted the complexity of the procedure, citing associated injuries like a meniscus injury, which can contribute to a slower recovery period. Consequently, setting a specific return date is currently not feasible.
Neymar, who joined Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League for a reported 90 million euros in August, has faced challenges in the current season, participating in only five games due to muscle injuries.
Lasmar stressed the collaborative effort required from physiotherapists, fitness trainers, and medical professionals to facilitate Neymar's swift return to the field.
Brazil, currently ranked third in the South American World Cup qualifying standings with seven points, is set to face Colombia, positioned fifth with six points, in an upcoming match.
Following that, Brazil will host the leader, Argentina, which boasts 12 points. The team's performance in these matches holds significance in the World Cup qualification process.
Neymar's recovery is progressing well, but the unpredictability of individual injuries and the added complexity of associated issues make it challenging to provide a specific timeframe for his return to competitive play.
The focus remains on a comprehensive rehabilitation process to ensure Neymar's full recovery and readiness for future football engagements.Ne
