Athletic Club secured a spot in the Europa League quarter-finals with a 4-3 aggregate win over Roma. Nico Williams scored twice, helping his team to a 3-1 victory in the second leg at San Mames. Yuri Berchiche also found the net, while Leandro Paredes' late penalty was merely consolation for Roma, who played most of the match with ten men.
Roma's hopes were dashed early when Mats Hummels received a red card for fouling Maroan Sannadi in the 11th minute. Athletic took advantage of their numerical superiority, equalising through Williams' deflected goal just before half-time. Yuri Berchiche then headed in to give Athletic the lead in the 68th minute.

Williams added his second goal eight minutes from time after a fine solo effort, putting Athletic firmly in control. Although Roma managed to score from a penalty in stoppage time, it wasn't enough to change their fate. Claudio Ranieri's side exited the competition despite their initial first-leg advantage.
Elsewhere, Eintracht Frankfurt dominated Ajax with a 6-2 aggregate win, following a 4-1 triumph at Deutsche Bank Park. Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Mario Gotze scored early goals, while Hugo Ekitike extended their lead in the second half. Ajax's Kenneth Taylor scored their 100th Europa League goal, but Gotze sealed Frankfurt's victory late on.
Bodo/Glimt made history by reaching the Europa League quarter-finals for the first time after defeating Olympiacos 4-2 on aggregate. They led 3-0 from the first leg and Kasper Hogh increased their advantage at Stadio Georgios Karaiskakis. Roman Yaremchuk scored twice for Olympiacos, but their comeback hopes ended when Konstantinos Tzolakis was sent off.
Lazio advanced to the quarter-finals by narrowly overcoming Viktoria Plzen with a 3-2 aggregate win. After a goalless first half at Stadio Olimpico, Pavel Sulc levelled for Plzen shortly after the break. However, Alessio Romagnoli's header in the 77th minute ensured Lazio's progression to their first Europa League quarter-final in seven years.
The upcoming matches promise exciting encounters as teams vie for a place in the semi-finals. Fans are eagerly anticipating these clashes as clubs continue their quest for European glory.
