London City Lionesses have bolstered their squad for their debut Women's Super League season by signing Nikita Parris. The Euro 2022 winner with England has joined the newly promoted team on a two-year contract. Parris, who left Brighton last week, arrives on a free transfer. During her single season with Brighton, she netted seven goals and provided five assists.
Parris's career in the Women's Super League is impressive, having played 186 matches across several clubs including Everton, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Brighton. She started in 144 of those games. Her experience will be invaluable to the Lionesses as they navigate their first top-flight campaign.

The club expressed their excitement about the signing through a social media announcement:
Parris shared her enthusiasm for joining the club, stating, "I'm excited. It's a very ambitious project and I'm really looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting started." She emphasised that the club's vision aligns with her personal ambitions and goals.
In March, Parris reached a significant milestone by becoming only the fourth player to achieve 100 goal involvements in WSL history. Her record includes 67 goals and 33 assists. Only Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead, and Bethany England have surpassed these numbers in league history.
Parris is set to make her debut for London City Lionesses against her former club Arsenal on September 6. Her addition is expected to strengthen the team's attacking options significantly as they prepare for this challenging fixture.
The Lionesses are optimistic about what Parris brings to the team. Her proven track record and experience at top clubs will be crucial as they aim for success in their inaugural WSL season.
