Jamal Musiala States There Is No One To Blame For His Injury At Club World Cup
Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala recently sustained a significant injury during the Club World Cup. He fractured his fibula in Bayern's 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain, following a collision with Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Bundesliga champions confirmed that Musiala has returned to Munich for surgery and will be out of action for several months.
Despite the severity of his injury, Musiala expressed no blame towards Donnarumma. He shared on Instagram, "The surgery went really well, I'm in good care and I wanted to say there's no one to blame for this." Musiala emphasised that such situations are part of the game and plans to focus on regaining his strength and positivity.

Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer voiced criticism towards Donnarumma, suggesting that engaging in such challenges carries a risk of injury. Meanwhile, Donnarumma appeared visibly upset after the incident and later sent his prayers and well wishes to Musiala.
Bayern's Managerial Response
Vincent Kompany, Bayern's manager, was notably upset about the situation. Following the match against PSG, he expressed his anger over the incident. Kompany rarely shows such emotion publicly but made it clear how much this affected him.
Musiala's Impact Last Season
Last season, Musiala played an integral role for Bayern Munich. He participated in 40 matches across all competitions and contributed significantly with 23 goal involvements—scoring 18 goals and providing five assists. His dribbling skills were unmatched within the team as he completed more dribbles than any other player.
Musiala also demonstrated creativity by creating 41 chances in the Bundesliga alone. This achievement placed him third among his teammates for chances created during the season. His absence will undoubtedly be felt by Bayern as they navigate upcoming matches without him.
As Musiala focuses on recovery, Bayern Munich will need to adapt their strategies in his absence while hoping for his swift return to full fitness.
