After narrowly missing out on the playoffs in the ISL 2023-24 season, NorthEast United FC would be aiming to have a better season this time around as they will take on Mohammedan SC in their opening fixture on Monday, September 16 in Kolkata.
In 22 matches, they managed to win only six, losing eight and drawing eight encounters. Though they scored 30 goals, they went on to concede 34 goals in the previous season. The club has been failing to attain consistency since its debut in the ISL.

Though they managed to achieve a few standout wins, showcasing their potential to fire all cylinders. If the club aims to sort out their defensive lapses, they can make it big, qualify for the playoffs, and stand a chance to bag their maiden silverware.
