Northeast United vs Mohammedan Highlights: Northeast United decimate Mohammedan Sporting Club 6-0 in the Kalinga Super Cup Round of 16 match on Thursday, April 24.

The Final Whistle Blows. A thumping, emphatic win for Northeast United who slay Mohammedan with six unanswered goals. Alaaedine Ajaraie stars with a hat-trick as the Highlanders advance to the quarterfinals. For Mohammedan, a bleak day in Bhubaneswar and they will return to Kolkata with a lot of things on the plate.
Goaaaaaaal!! Alaaeddine Ajaraie makes no mistake from the spot and gets his hat-trick. NorthEast get six on the night! Game, Set and Done!!
90+1'A penalty for Northeast as Ajaraie is taken down by the goalkeeper. An opportunity for him to score the hat-trick.
88'Parthiv Gogoi gets the pass from Phalguni and then his wild attempt is off target. Picking up Ajaraie would have been a better option in that case.
86'Another Mohammedan attack fizzles out without anything. The final five odd minutes remain and NorthEast are cruising towards the quarterfinals. Can Mohammedan find at least a consolation? They would feel they deserve one.
82'Alaaeddine Ajaraie again gets the better of Mohammedan defence but then two MSC players combine to take the ball away from him, with Samad Ali Mullick rescuing his team with a superb tackle.
78'It is now only the matter of time for both teams. But Mohammedan are trying to score at least one goal.
73'Ismaily takes a free kick but it flies wide. Moments earlier, Alaaeddine got into a decent position but hit his shot wide. The ball curled away from the goal as the Highlander failed to complete his hat-trick.
Goaaaaaaaaal!! Guillermo Fernandez makes it five. This time Alaaeddine turns the provider and the NEUFC boys are in fifth heaven already, if there ever is one. They have dominated Mohammedan in every department and are threatening to score more.
🟨Israfil Dewan (MSC) gets a Yellow Card for a clumsy challenge.
63'We are seeing that Northeast are preparing for a couple of changes. They have had a cakewalk so far and their minds will already be set for the quarterfinals. But the last 30 odd minutes can be catastrophic if they get complacent. Mohammedan have failed to score so far but they have never been shy of attacking in this match. The latest chance comes to Robi Hansda again but the referee deems handball.
61'Robi Hansda gets past Asheer Akhtar and his chip beats the keeper, only to be denied by the upright. Unlucky for the Mohammedan attacker who has been a live wire for his team all afternoon.
Goaaaaaaal!! Alaaeddine Ajaraie scores another. The ball falls into the feet after a save, and he buries it from close range.
52'Alaaeddine Ajaraie nutmegs a player and then takes a curling effort. The shot is on target but the keeper parries it.
50'Northeast United try to find a move as Nestor Albiach but his cross is off target.
47'Mohammedan try to breach the Northeast defence but unable to do so. Israful tries to find Schmerbock but fails to do so.
The second half begins.
Half Time. The interval arrives as NorthEast are in a commanding 3-0 lead. The Mohammadan side has looked out of sorts and they are struggling big time. The Kolkata club will have to climb a mountain and more to get back into this match.
44'Israfil Dewan takes a shot which just goes wide. A fantastic move from Mohammedan, but they fail to reduce the deadlock.
Goaaaaaaal!! Nestor Albiach scores and Northeast now lead 3-0. A gift from Mohammedan as Bikash loses the ball out. Jithin sets up Nestor who scores superbly.
37'Amarjit and Israfil combine but the latter's strike is poor and goes way off target.
35'Northeast are threatening for the 3rd goal, Mohammedan somehow defend the latest one.
28'Jithin MS makes a darting run on right wing and sends in a pinpoint cross. Nestor Albiach meets the pass sweetly but the shot is straight at the Mohammedan keeper who makes a save.
25'Alaaeddine gives the ball away to Ismaily and the latter's cross finds Rabi Hansda. The Mohammedan striker turns and takes a shot which is magnificently blocked by Zabaco. Bikash Ghosh then tries to blast the rebound but it flies way off target.
21'Alaaeddine Ajaraie skips past the MSC defence and then curls in a cross. The ball is just behind Guillermo who adjusts his body to head it but the ball goes wide. Earlier, Israfil fed Rabi Hansda at a dangerous position but Hansda's left-footed effort was tame.

Gooaaaaaaaaal!! A sublime move again from Northeast, who cut open Mohammedan. Alaaeddine Ajaraie finds the ball and makes a superb turn, then puts it into the back of the net.
15'Nestor Albiach's outswinger from the corner is met by Ajaraie but it is well off target. The ball was a bit behind the NEUFC talisman and goes harmlessly over the Mohammedan goal.
14'An alert Samad does a good job defensively again. Tondonba swings one in with the outside of his foot but the Mohammedan defender intercepts.
🟨 Yellow Card: Amarjit Singh (MSC)
Reason: A foul on Jithin MS.
NorthEast United FC head into the knockout fixture brimming with confidence. Fresh from their Durand Cup triumph earlier in the season, the Highlanders are aiming to cap off their campaign with more silverware. While their ISL playoff aspirations fell short, coach Juan Pedro Benali has shaped a well-drilled and competitive unit.
In contrast, it has been a season to forget for Mohammedan SC. The club, which ended its ISL campaign at the bottom of the table, now faces significant off-field turmoil. Reports of delayed player payments have disrupted their preparations, leaving the squad depleted. Austrian midfielder Marc Andre Schmerböck remains the sole foreign signing available for their Super Cup run.
