Referee blows the final whistle as Bipin Singh's last-ditched effort for a shot at goal skied high after failing to connect with the ball on the turn! NorthEast United give themselves a lifeline in the tournament as they take home all three points.
The referee adds five minutes of stoppage time as Mumbai push for the equaliser. A draw will do them a lot of good as they will be level on points with table toppers Chennaiyin FC.
The goal was down to a brilliant run from Vikram deep down the right flank before he cut in to square it off to Borges, whose heavy touch took the ball away from him before he slipped and fall. Thankfully Apuia came running from behind and shot the ball into the net on the volley.

Mumbai pull one back! Goal: Apuia, Assist: Rowlin Borges with 5 minutes to go
Another promising build-up and another miss! Following a move through a string of passes, Apuia, who switched flanks to left, delivered a perfect cross into the box for Mandar but the ball went wide.
NorthEast United goalkeeper Mirshad sees yellow card for time wasting. Mumbai City are trying their patient build-up again but the lack of penetration from the side remains as Chhangte shoots another attempt off target from outside the box.
Another chance wasted! Chhikara fails to keep his header on target after Apuia delivers a brilliant first-time cross into the box. The lack of quality in MCFC line-up due to lack of foreign star is telling.
OFFSIDE! Gurkirat heads the ball into the box as Vikram feeds a ball from the right flank but the referee raised the flag and Gurkirat sees a yellow as well. Bit confusing to understand why and replays also suggest the Mumbai forward probably wasn't offside.
MUMBAI HITS THE BAR AGAIN! This time it's Chhikara, who hit the ball with power from outside the box on a half turn! Another brilliant display by Mumbai that counts for nothing.
A LOVELY MOVE BY NEUFC! Emil Benny nicely chested a long ball and laid it off to Gani before running into the box. Gani saw the move and looped it into the box for the winger but the Benny couln't control the ball.
Mandar Rao Desai has been impactful since coming on with a couple of telling crosses from the left flank but NorthEast United defenders are not taking unnecessary risks and maintained their positions to clear the crosses.
Change in midfield for Mumbai City as Chhikara comes in for Vinit Rai
Wilmar Jordan is the man of the moment.

The move for the second goal stared on the right flank as Gani was fed with a lay-off right outside box, he shot it with venom for the Mumbai goalkeeper to block but the ball fell nicely on the rebound for Jordan to put into the goal with a slight touch away from the goalkeeper.
Wilmar Jordan doubles the lead from a rebound! NEUFC are 2-0 up by the 49th minute!
The second half gets underway as Chhangte kicks the ball. A Change made by both the sides as experienced Mandar Rao Desai comes in to play as right back for Vignesh for Mumbai. Chhara comes in for Jithin in the NEUFC line-up

Players are back on the field, the second half will resume shortly!
A professional display by NorthEast United FC, who soaked in initial pressure from Mumbai City's youthful squad and then grew confident in attack with nice defence-to-attack transition. Their strategy finally paid off as Mumbai panicked on the counter with Mehtab Singh bringing out his arm inside the box to block a cross by Joe Zohera. Experienced Colombian Wilmar Jordan never looked like missing the penalty.

No further substantial action in the half as the referee blows the final whistle
The match official adds three more minutes as we see breathe-taking end-to-end stuff. Chhangte couldn't connect to the ball on the volley and the NEUFC clearance led to a counter. Mumbai defence remained alert enough to cut off the decisive pass into the box for Wilmar to start another counter, which ended with a cross from left-flank to the far post with nobody reaching it to bury into the goal.
NEUFC left-back Tondonba Singh becomes the first booking of the night. Mumbai City are struggling to create anything at the moment as their rhythm has died down since the goal.
Emil Benny has been influential on NEUFC's right flank as the bowler is engaged in a duel with Mumbai left-back Vignesh. His first touch to receive the diagonal pass and then play Zohera free was certainly the move of the day.
Mumbai City are trailing once again and will have to deal with another stubborn defence as the NorthEast side has grown in confidence with the goal and are winning all the tackles and interception at the moment.
Wilmar Jordan puts NorthEast United at front as he sends the goalkeeper wrong way while he hits the ball into the roof of the net.
PENALTY! Mehtab Singh hands the ball inside the box as he blocks a cross by Joe Zohera
HITS THE POST! Wilmar Jordan shot the near post with a header following a dangerous corner delivery from a teammate. NorthEast are taking the game to Mumbai now after suffering for the first 20 minutes.
Chance for NEUFC! Gani Nigam with a pin point with lofted through ball for Jithin, whose header went inches off the far post. NEUFC have been threatening on the break!
Mumbai City FC, who won the ISL League Winners' Shield and suffered a narrow loss in the semifinals, had to work hard for a victory against Churchill Brothers in the Group D opener. The winning goal in a 2-1 win over the Goan club as late as injury time as winger Lallianzuala Chhangte earned a late penalty after Mehtab Singh scored the opening goal.
The ISL side has made it a point that they will play the tournament with all-India squad and their manager Des Buckingham was happy with how his side fared against a stubborn Churchill Brothers' side, who defended in numbers using five defenders at the back.
"I thought that we started off very well and we created numerous chances - I thought we had a penalty that wasn't given in the first half," said Buckingham as per Mumbai City FC's official website. "You have to get off to a good start, especially in tournament football. We played with a very young, all-Indian team.
"To not only get the win, but also the manner in which we did it, is very pleasing. We stuck true to how we like to play and it took until the last minute to get the winner, but that's what this group is all about."
NorthEast United, who came into the tournament after firing their manager Vincenzo Annese, couldn't give themselves a bright start in the Super Cup as they lost 2-4 to Chennaiyin FC in a goal fest.
Under their new manager Floyd Pinto, who was their assistant manager for the season, the side has a point to prove as they finished bottom in the ISL table last season and will be out of the Super Cup title run as well if they lose to Mumbai on the night.
