Jota Silva Joins Nottingham Forest From Vitoria In A Bid To Strengthen Attack
Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Portuguese international Jota Silva from Vitoria. Silva, who netted 15 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Primeira Liga club, has committed to a four-year contract at the City Ground.
Forest finished 17th in the Premier League last season, narrowly avoiding relegation by six points. They struggled offensively, scoring only 49 goals, with Chris Wood being the sole player to reach double figures in league goals.

Nuno Espirito Santo aimed to enhance his team's attacking strength, and Silva's arrival is expected to provide a significant boost. Only Sheffield United (35), Everton (40), and Burnley (41) scored fewer goals than Forest last season.
Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson expressed enthusiasm about Silva's move: "We can see how excited Jota is to continue his career journey beyond Portugal where he has enjoyed such a strong period in the Primeira Liga with Vitoria Guimaraes, which resulted in him earning his debut for the Portuguese National Team back in March."
Silva is Forest's fifth acquisition of this transfer window. The club previously signed Elliot Anderson from Newcastle and Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina. Additionally, Marko Stamenic and goalkeeper Carlos Miguel have been loaned out to Olympiacos and Corinthians respectively.
The new signings aim to address Forest's scoring issues and improve their standing in the upcoming Premier League season. Fans are hopeful that these additions will bring more success on the pitch.
Welcome to Nottingham Forest, Jota Silva!
This strategic move by Nottingham Forest reflects their ambition to climb higher in the Premier League standings. With Silva's proven track record in Portugal, expectations are high for his performance in England.
