Mohun Bagan will kickstart their AFC Cup campaign with a trip to Bhubaneshwar as they take on Odisha FC today (Tuesday, September 19). The Kolkata Giants lifted the ISL last season and had to qualify for the group stages after playing in the playoffs. They beat Machhindra and then shrugged off Dhaka Abahani in the playoffs. The match starts at 7:30 pm IST at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Odisha FC and Mohun Bagan have been slotted in Group D of the AFC Cup along with Basundhara Kings of Bangladesh and Maziya of Maldives. This is the very first taste of continental football for Odisha FC, while the Mariners are making their 7th appearance at the AFC Cup group stages.
