One Ring, New Opportunities: The Punch Boxing Set for 14th Edition in India

New Delhi, September 13: Professional boxing in India is gaining momentum, with more fighters looking to build records, gain international exposure, and establish themselves on the professional circuit. Against this backdrop, The Punch Boxing is preparing for its 14th Edition, continuing a promotion that has staged 13 professional fight nights since its launch in 2017.

The promotion has featured Indian and international boxers across major Indian cities, with fighters from more than 12 countries having competed in its events. Its upcoming edition will once again bring together domestic and overseas talent, with competitive bouts taking centre stage.

The Punch Boxing 14th Edition

The latest edition is set to provide another platform for professional boxers looking to test themselves in meaningful competition. For emerging Indian fighters, the event offers an opportunity to gain ring experience, strengthen their professional records and compete against opponents with different styles and backgrounds.

The Punch Boxing events are sanctioned by the Indian Boxing Council (IBC), giving its professional contests an officially recognised framework. The sanctioning also adds significance to bouts for fighters seeking to build their careers and progress towards bigger opportunities.

International participation has been a notable feature of the promotion, allowing Indian boxers to face overseas opposition while allowing international fighters to compete in India.

Arif Khan's Role In Building The Promotion

The promotion is led by sports entrepreneur Arif Khan, whose career has included roles across boxing, sports business and marketing.

Khan was the first licence-holder to organise the Indian Boxing League and previously served as Chairman of Business & Marketing at the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation. His experience in developing sporting properties has helped shape The Punch Boxing's professional model.

Through Sports Oodles, Khan has also been involved in wider sports ventures, with ambitions to create commercial opportunities for athletes and take Indian sporting properties to international markets.

Looking Beyond India

Sports Oodles is looking to expand its presence across the UAE, UK and Southeast Asia, an approach that could open further international avenues for Indian sporting talent.

For professional boxers, stronger links with overseas markets could provide access to new opponents, competitions and career opportunities. It also reflects the wider ambition of taking Indian sports properties beyond the domestic audience.

A Growing Professional Boxing Landscape

The Punch Boxing's 14th Edition comes at a time when professional boxing is attracting greater attention in India. More athletes are exploring the professional route after competing at amateur level, increasing the need for regular, credible competitive platforms.

With its mix of Indian and international fighters and IBC-sanctioned bouts, The Punch Boxing has positioned itself within that developing ecosystem.

The 14th Edition will add to the promotion's nine-year journey while giving fighters another opportunity to make an impression inside the ring. For the boxers involved, the focus will be on performance, preparation, and building momentum for the next stage of their careers.
