Andoni Iraola expressed satisfaction with Dango Ouattara's hat-trick against Nottingham Forest, noting it was overdue after several strong performances for Bournemouth. Ouattara's three goals, alongside strikes from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo, led to a 5-0 victory at the Vitality Stadium. This win extended Bournemouth's unbeaten streak in the Premier League to 11 games, marking their longest run without defeat.
Ouattara's performance was historic as he became the first African player to score a hat-trick for Bournemouth in the Premier League. His impact on the game was significant, leading in various match statistics. He registered four shots on target, had 13 touches in the opposition box, and achieved a team-high expected goals (xG) of 1.04.

Bournemouth's recent form has been impressive, with seven wins and four draws in their last 11 matches. Their latest victory is their biggest in the top-flight since April 2019 when they defeated Brighton 5-0. Iraola praised Ouattara's versatility and contribution to the team's link-up play.
"I think he has been very good, all the games, the four he has played as a number nine. I think he's playing really well," Iraola told BBC Match of the Day. "He's been a threat, plus he helps with the link-up play. We can use him in many positions."
For Nuno Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest, their eight-game winning streak ended abruptly on the South Coast. Despite remaining in the top four, victories by Newcastle United and Bournemouth have intensified competition for Champions League spots. Forest have conceded three or more goals in each of their last four defeats.
Nuno lamented his team's defensive frailties against Bournemouth's potent attack. "Nobody expected a game like this. Bournemouth were better than us," he said. "We did a lot of things wrong... We are unbalanced, and we didn't defend well."
Iraola emphasised that scoring early was crucial against a strong opponent like Forest. He noted that most of Forest's recent victories came from leading at halftime. The early goal gave Bournemouth an advantage and improved their gameplay.
"We knew we were facing a very good team on a very good run," Iraola stated. "Scoring first was key... The goal at the beginning helped us and made the game look better for us."
Despite their current success, Iraola remains focused on taking each match as it comes, with Liverpool next on their schedule. He acknowledged that squad depth is an issue but aims to prepare players adequately for upcoming challenges.
Nuno reflected on his team's performance, acknowledging areas needing improvement while recognising past successes. "In the second half, we tried to correct things... but we didn't react," he admitted.
The race for Champions League qualification remains tight as teams like Newcastle United continue to challenge for top positions alongside Bournemouth and Forest.
