Bolton, Sep 27: Star striker Micheal Owen's 71st minute goal helped Manchester United to draw with Bolton Wanderers in the English Premier League on Sunday, Sep 26.
The 2-2 draw in the match gave Manchester United a second in the point table, three points behind Chelsea and one above Arsenal. Bolton showed off a great performance against the former champions by taking lead twice but failed to finish with a win.
Bolton took the lead in 6th minute with center back Zat Knight's superb goal. Petrov's left-wing corner was flicked in by Knight. Conceding an early goal, United raided Boltons box for an equalizer with attacks of Wayne Rooney and Darren Fletcher.
Nani found the equalizer in 22nd minute with a brilliant goal. Nani picked the ball up on halfway and set off on a run through the Bolton defense before shooting low into the corner from 20 yards.
Bolton went ahead for the second time in the 67th minute. Lee Chung-Yong broke and fed Elmander, who turned the ball on for Petrov, who beat van der Sar with a deflected shot.
Later former England striker Owen was introduced for Fletcher in the 71st minute and made the second equalizer with the first touch itself. He headed Nani's free kick to the post and helped United to stay second in the table.
