Paris Saint-Germain faced another challenging match against Reims at the Parc des Princes, resulting in a 1-1 draw in Ligue 1. This marks the third consecutive home league game where PSG has not secured a win against Reims, a streak reminiscent of their matches against Bordeaux from August 2010 to August 2012.
Despite the draw, PSG maintained their unbeaten start to the season on home ground. Luis Enrique's team has not lost any of their first 19 league games in the 2024-25 season, winning 14 and drawing five. This achievement mirrors previous seasons like 1985-86, 2015-16, and 2018-19.

The match began with Ousmane Dembele testing Yehvann Diouf in Reims' goal after an impressive run into the box. Goncalo Ramos then missed two significant chances, first forcing a save from Diouf and then heading over Lee Kang-In's cross from a corner. Despite these early opportunities, PSG struggled to capitalize further.
After halftime, PSG finally broke through when Dembele converted Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's pass with a deflected shot. However, Reims continued to press forward. Junya Ito narrowly missed a header from close range after Keito Nakamura's delivery from the back post.
Reims' persistence paid off when Nakamura scored following a swift counter-attack, leaving Gianluigi Donnarumma unable to prevent the equalizer. From that point on, PSG found it difficult to create clear scoring chances. Nuno Mendes' long-range attempt was easily saved by Diouf towards the end of the match.
The result extended PSG's lead at the top of Ligue 1 to ten points ahead of second-placed Marseille, who were set to play Nice on Sunday. Despite this advantage, there are concerns for PSG as they have failed to win two of their last five games after scoring first.
Kvaratskhelia made an impressive debut for PSG. He had more touches in the opposition box than any other player (nine) and engaged in the most duels for his team (19). His performance was one of the few highlights for PSG in an otherwise frustrating match.
This draw underscores some issues for Luis Enrique's side moving forward. They have now failed to secure victory in two recent matches where they initially took the lead, contrasting with their previous record of winning eleven such games consecutively in top-flight football.
As PSG continues its campaign, maintaining focus and converting early leads into wins will be crucial for sustaining their position at the top of Ligue 1.
