Paris Saint-Germain concluded their Ligue 1 season with a remarkable 3-1 victory over Auxerre at the Parc des Princes. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was instrumental in the second half, helping the champions build momentum for their upcoming Coupe de France and Champions League finals. Despite PSG's early control, Auxerre unexpectedly took the lead after 30 minutes when Gaetan Perrin's precise pass found Lassine Sinayoko, who calmly scored past Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The home team responded swiftly as Nuno Mendes hit the post with a superb free-kick just seven minutes later, narrowly missing the top corner. PSG equalised in the 59th minute when Kvaratskhelia fired a low shot into the bottom-left corner, although Donovan Leon managed to get his fingertips on it. Marquinhos then put PSG ahead eight minutes later by heading Mendes' corner into the net after being left unmarked.

Mendes continued to be influential, winning a penalty in the 77th minute after being fouled by Sinaly Diomande. However, substitute Goncalo Ramos saw his weak penalty attempt saved by Leon. Kvaratskhelia then hit the post with a curling free-kick before sealing the win two minutes from time by rounding the goalkeeper and scoring into an empty net.
This triumph allowed PSG to finish their Ligue 1 campaign on a high note, extending their unbeaten run against Auxerre to six matches (four wins and two draws). They also set a new points record for an 18-team season with 84 points, surpassing St. Etienne's previous record of 81 points from the 1969-70 season.
Ousmane Dembele ended as Ligue 1's joint-top scorer with 21 goals this season. He needed one more goal in this match to claim the Golden Boot outright but couldn't find the net despite having five shots and generating an expected goals (xG) of 0.95. Mason Greenwood's two goals for Marseille against Rennes meant Dembele had to share the accolade.
Although PSG lost their last home game to Nice, they ensured not to disappoint their fans on this final day of the season. The team's performance has set them up positively for their upcoming challenges in both domestic and European competitions.
