Paul Pogba has rejoined the football scene by signing with Monaco after his doping suspension. The French World Cup winner has committed to a two-year contract with Monaco, marking his first senior stint with a French club. Pogba's provisional suspension for doping began in September 2023, leading to an initial four-year ban in February 2024, later reduced to 18 months.
AS Monaco expressed their excitement about Pogba's arrival, stating on their website that the French world champion has signed a two-season deal, binding him to the Principality until 30 June 2027. This move follows Pogba's mutual agreement to end his contract with Juventus last November, leaving him without a club.

Pogba's return to France comes after he left Manchester United on a free transfer in 2022. During his second spell at Juventus, he made only 12 appearances. In his time at Manchester United, Pogba played 157 Premier League matches, scoring 29 goals and providing 38 assists.
The midfielder's achievements include winning the Europa League and EFL Cup with Manchester United. Additionally, during his earlier tenure at Juventus, he secured four Serie A titles and four domestic cups. Pogba also boasts international success with France.
Pogba has earned significant accolades on the international stage as well. He won the Under-20 World Cup in 2013 and was part of France’s squad that triumphed in the World Cup in 2018. Over his international career, he has accumulated 91 caps for France, scoring 11 goals and assisting eight times.
This new chapter at Monaco offers Pogba an opportunity to revitalise his career following recent challenges. His experience and skills are expected to be valuable assets for Monaco as they aim for success in upcoming seasons.
