Sao Paulo, Feb 19: Football legend Pele fears that Brazil may be risking embarrassment unless they fasten up preparations to host the 2014 World Cup.

Pele who was addressing a news conference on Feb 18, said, "You know of the fight we had to get the (2016) Olympics and the World Cup, travelling around the world seeking votes and now a moment has come that is worrying everyone."

Expressing his reservations about the airport system in Brazil, he said, "Brazil is running a great risk of embarrassing us in how it runs the World Cup, principally in communications. The airports are frightening and not just for Brazilians."

According to reports, Brazil has a lot of work to do in order to get stadiums ready for the gala event and most important of all, it needs to upgrade its airport systems, which the country's Sports Minister says is a major obstacle ahead of the World Cup.
