Helder Postiga scored the opening goal in the first half to give Atletico the lead. Veteran Italian striker once again came to Chennaiyin FC's rescue as he scored the all-important equaliser.

The draw takes Atletico de Kolkata to the third position over FC Pune City. They are tied on 15 points from 11 matches.

Chennaiyin, on the other hand, remain at the sixth position in the league table with 14 points from 11 games.
