Bengaluru, Nov 27: Chennaiyin FC were held for an exciting 3-3 draw by NorthEast United last night, November 26 at Chennai.

Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi scored a glaring hat-trick for the home side but it was not enough to give Chennaiyin a win.

Chennai's chances of qualifying for the playoffs are now virtually over with only one game to play in the league.

Nicolas Velez scored twice for NorthEast United and Shouvik Ghosh scored a late equaliser in the 90th minute.

NorthEast moves up the table to the fifth position and still have a chance to make it to the playoffs.
